Dr. Beale McLaughlin is a dynamic leader and passionate educator, who inspires action while simultaneously rousing enthusiasm and vigor in the teams she engages. Regarded as a credible voice in education, program policy, regulatory compliance, and a seasoned clinician, Dr. Beale – McLaughlin earns a seat at the table wherever she serves. She has worked in various clinical, as well as administrative, and managed care roles over the span of more than 15 years in the healthcare industry.

Previously, Dr. Beale – McLaughlin assumed key leadership roles for Medicare, Railroad Medicare, and Medicaid (TennCare). During her time working for these government healthcare programs, she managed high-performing teams consisting of regulatory compliance and policy experts, clinicians, provider educators, as well as program auditors. It was as the manager of Provider Outreach; Education for Medicare that she summarily connected with her enthusiasm for being an educator and a team leader.

As the Staff Development Coordinator, she will undoubtedly leverage years of leadership and educational experience to not only educate staff, but also foster a culture of Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) and ongoing professional growth.In addition to being a part of the Bethany team, she also serves as the Director of Practice for the Tennessee Nurses Association (TNA). As a member of the Board of Directors for this important organization, she has a platform to advocate for all nurses in the state of Tennessee.

Working collaboratively with Government Affairs, state policy makers, and other key stakeholders, she directly influences legislative changes that impact the current practice of nurses as well as the future trajectory of the profession. Dr. Beale – McLaughlin holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), from the University of Massachusetts, Boston; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), with a focus in Healthcare Informatics, and a minor in Education, from Excelsior College; a Post Masters Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner, from the University of Massachusetts.
